Too Too Many Tutus by Suzanne Davis Marion

Too Too Many Tutus by Suzanne Davis Marion
Illustrated by Marj Hales

Christina has a bit of a problem- she's on her way to ballet class, but can't decide which tutu to wear! She just has too many! They are all beautiful and each tutu offers its own wonderful adventures! Christina finally lays all the different tutus out on her bed and begins to imagine the wonderful places she could dance... "If I wore my blue tutu I could whirl and twirl under the bright blue sky. I could dance on the beach beside the blue sea, and all the fish and sea birds could watch me dance..." The pink tutu has Christina dancing among the beautiful roses, the yellow tutu has her dancing in the sunshine with the yellow butterflies , besides the sunflowers and the daisies. As Christina reflects on each color tutu, Marj Hales beautiful pastel watercolors dance off the page and into our hearts... Finally Christina's mom points out that if Christina wore her white tutu, she would be wearing all the colors, because white is made up of all the colors of the rainbow! A wonderful book for the little girls in our life. The story & illustrations should inspire the imaginations of your little ones with a wonderful sense of the beauty of nature that surrounds us. A sweet story and beautifully illustrated, Too Too Many Tutus will have you smiling and remembering back when you played in an imaginary world! A charming book! It sure charmed me!

I want to thank Suzanne Davis Marion for sending me a copy so that I could review this for my readers! Where sometimes we girls have too too many tutus too!

I just saw this on The Reading Journey. It feels like deja vu.

As I said there, this book looks beautiful and fun - I wish my kids were still young enough to read it.
