I love travel books - one of my favourite writers is Eric Newby.

No bookish Thanksgiving travels here as I'm in England. I'm currently reading the first Flashman book on my Kindle - it features a cowardly, despicable but very engaging "hero" and is set during the time of the first Afghan War. The historical details are accurate and I'm find it interesting.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07532657035761216045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5447574405650512339.post-87580432334160366262011-12-04T20:08:11.980-05:002011-12-04T20:08:11.980-05:00I haven't read any of these, but I've obvi...I haven't read any of these, but I've obviously heard of Time Traveller's Wife and the Steinbeck is on my shelves somewhere. I went to the Steinbeck museum in Salinas (which I would recommend if you're a fan) and they had the car that he traveled with Charley in. It was fun.LBChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08565867574821169945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5447574405650512339.post-76486682184572921512011-12-04T15:07:32.962-05:002011-12-04T15:07:32.962-05:00Books with a traveling theme are one of my favorit...Books with a traveling theme are one of my favorite genres. I've read several books set in either North or South Carolina this year.

I feel almost as if I've been there.

I started watching The Time Traveler's Wife (movie), and didn't finish it. But I was intrigued. I think I'll pick up the book some time this next year.

Here's MY SUNDAY SALON POST and
MY WEBSITELaurel-Rain Snowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00101090217639410913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5447574405650512339.post-2527834770513269732011-12-04T12:07:13.384-05:002011-12-04T12:07:13.384-05:00I enjoyed reading the Time travelers wife as much ...I enjoyed reading the Time travelers wife as much as you did.
