I loved this book! It's haunting, the writing is wonderful, and it's everything you'd want in a gothic love story. Karen Essex has taken the classic story of Dracula and with the stroke of her pen transformed it into a fresh love story that transcends time. My favorite vampire is Wrath from J.R. Ward's The Black Dagger Brotherhood. He's probably one of the most kick-a*s vampires I've read of!

I'm with you on the favorite vampire thing - my first vampire was Barnabas Collins, but Edward is kind of special, too. I also really love the rendition of Dracula by Frank Langella - he was the first actor who put the sexy in vampire for me.

My first vampire that made and impact on me was Claudia from Interview with a vampire author Anne Rice. She was terrorizing being so young and have that much power isn't so far off from today that the fact kids can kill and still look so innocent.
