I think Diane Keaton is a great person. And Annie Hall was one of my favorite movies. Not being a fan of spiders I loved the scene when Woody Allen yells "There's a spider the size of a Buick in your bathtub!"

SNATCHED by Karin Slaughter is a well written short story that features one of my favorite characters, GBI Agent Will Trent. I have all of Karin's books and love them all. This may be a short story, but it's packed with action and suspense.

Will is at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta (the biggest and busiest airport in the world), when he hears a little girl cry that she wants to go home. Getting that 'gut' feeling that something was amiss, Will decides to check it out. However, he waited too long and now he can't find the girl and the aggravated man. With growing anxiety that something is wrong, Will calls his boss, Amanda Wagner and partner Faith Mitchell who immediately puts out an amber alert, based on Will's instinct. Within moments, the airport, containing thousands of people and hundreds of flights, is all on lock down.

Just came across your blog from Bookhounds. So sorry to this post about losing your dear BJ. We lost our Abby in January to bone cancer. She was only 2 1/2, but she lived large during her 2 years with us and taught us SO much about living.

I will give our new rescue pup, Rita, a hug in BJ's honor.

Cake boss is probably the best TV show that has ever happened to TLC, okay... maybe not quite, but I love it! I can only imagine the book is just as good and hope to get my hands on it! Not only is the show interesting, the different things they make seem almost impossible. It must be a truly astonishing read.

I agree with mainhoonemily! For awhile everyone seemed anti-Twilight and they just don't know what they're missing out on. I can't like I was skeptical at first but when I started the series I couldn't put them down. I read one after another with hardly any breaks in between. I have yet to read the movies because I know the books are always better... eventually I will get to them and hopefully they are good too.

Forgot to say that growing up we had a Keeshond and an American Eskimo, which in case you don't know, looks like a Keeshond but is all white and not as furry. They both were such loving dogs. I still miss them after 30+ years.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your long-time reading buddy. It's hard to let them go and you're right, the time you have with them is never enough.

Recently, I had to put to sleep my 14 year old cat Greta due to uncurable liver disease. And several months before that, I had to put to sleep my 18 year old cat Smokey due to kidney failure. It's hard to lose old friends.

You still have his love even though he's not with you. That will never change.

Suzanne, I am so sorry for your loss. To have a friend like BJ is really to own the world I believe. There is really nothing I can say that will ease the emptiness in your heart but my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I have checked back to your blog often but I regret that I never emailed you also.

I've read True Grit some time ago and it was good.
One of my favorites for this past year was The Night Circus. I didn't know how it was going to end, and the writing kept me intrigued. I actually listened to the audio version.
I've also listened to Travels with Charlie read by Gary Sinise. I enjoyed it a great deal.
Haven't picked out many for the coming year yet.
